Night Swim - January 5

Directed by Bryce McGuire, the film follows the Waller family as they move into a new home and discover a supernatural presence haunting their backyard swimming pool. Wyatt Russell, Kerry Condon, Amélie Hoeferle and Gavin Warren play key roles in the film.

He Went That Way - January 5

Inspired by the real-life events surrounding serial killer Larry Lee Ranes, the film centres on Jim Goodwin, a trainer who picks up a hitchhiker who is later revealed to be a serial killer. The Kissing Booth and Euphoria fame Jacob Elordi stars in the film.

The Painter - January 5

The Charlie Weber, Jon Voight and Marie Avgeropoulos starrer centres around an ex-CIA operative who finds himself thrust back into the dangerous world after an old woman from his past reappears. After being exposed, he is targeted by a relentless killer and a rogue black ops program in the action-packed film.

The Bricklayer - January 5

Another action thriller releasing in January 2024 is Aaron Eckhart, Nina Dobrev, Tim Blake Nelson, Ilfenesh Hadera and Clifton Collins Jr starrer The Bricklayer. The Renny Harlin directorial follows a rogue insurgent blackmailing the CIA by assassinating foreign journalists and making it appear the agency is responsible.

Mean Girls - January 8

One of the most awaited films of January 2024, Mean Girls is based on the Broadway musical of the same name, which in turn was based on Mark Waters's 2004 comedy film. The film features an ensemble cast of Angourie Rice, Reneé Rapp, Aulii Cravalho, Christopher Briney, Tina Fey and Tim Meadows.

The Beekeeper - January 12

Following the death of his friend and neighbor by suicide after he fell for a phishing scam, Mr. Clay sets out to exact revenge against the company responsible. Directed by David Ayer, the film stars Jason Statham, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Josh Hutcherson, Bobby Nader, Minnie Driver, Phylicia Rashad and Jeremy Irons.

The Book of Clarence - January 12

Dubbed as an epic biblical comedy-drama, the film follows a down-on-his-luck man living in Jerusalem during 29 AD, who attempts to capitalize on the rise of Jesus Christ by claiming to be the new Messiah sent by God in an attempt to free himself of debt.

I.S.S. - January 19

The film centres on a group of astronauts living aboard the International Space Station. As tensions flare on Earth due to a worldwide conflict, astronauts are ordered to take control of the station by any means necessary.

Miller's Girl - January 26

Directed by Jade Halley Bartlett, the film stars Wednesday fame Jenna Ortega and Sherlock star Martin Freeman as Cairo and Jonathan, a student and teacher who enter a dark relationship after a creative writing assignment.

Sometimes I Think About Dying - January 26

Based on the 2013 play Killers by Armento and a short film that was released in 2019, the film follows a socially awkward office worker who spends most of her time in isolation and daydreams of her own death. However, that all changes when a new colleague pricks the bubble of her isolation. Daisy Ridley, Dave Merheje, Parvesh Cheena and Marcia DeBonis feature in the film.

Housekeeping for Beginners - January 26

Set to release on January 26, the film follows Dita, who had no desire to become a mother, but circumstances force her to raise two daughters of her girlfriend: the troublemaker Mia and the rebellious Vanesa.
