Indoor and winter championships

Kickstart your new year with some indoor athletics action! Beginning with the Senior Combined Events, Para and Walk Championships, each of our three upcoming England champs will take place at the English Institute of Sport, Sheffield. Tickets are currently available, with both our January and March championships completely free of charge!

  • 18-19 January: Senior/U20 Combined Championships, England Senior Para Championships and England Indoor Race Walk Championships (including BMC races on 19 January)
  • 8-9 February: England Age Group Indoor Championships
  • 8-9 March: England Age Group Combined Events, Junior Para Championships

This winter, we will also be launching our pilot Winter Long Throws Championships taking place at Loughborough University in March.

Become a registered athlete and discover your next goal

Looking to compete this winter but not registered with England Athletics? Don't worry, there's still time to register for both this year and the next affiliation year too! If you register with England Athletics, you will receive membership for 15 months for the price of 12. As well as opening up many doors with your competition eligibility, becoming a registered athlete also comes with a wide range of benefits and services for you to enjoy!

The new year brings some excellent opportunities for athletes of all ages to represent England. Whether you are a masters athlete looking to earn your first national vest or an age group athlete, we have opportunities coming up across the road, cross country and indoors.

National Running Show

We will be back at the National Running Show in 2025! On our stand (G60 Hall 17), we will be ready to meet members of the England Athletics, RunTogether and funetics family, host an exciting Q&A with some very special guests and also launch our brand new offering for individual runners in England.

Secure your Club Standards

From 1 April 2025, all clubs in England will need to have achieved Club Standard Six: Safeguarding in order to reaffiliate with England Athletics. Don't wait until April, start your new year with Club Standard Six ready to go! Obtaining your Club Standards isn't only important for the governance of your club, but also to create a safe, welcoming and fun environment for your members of all ages.
