Car on it's roof' after horror crash closes A92 as emergency service race to scene - Daily Record

Emergency services have raced to a crash on a busy Scots road this morning amid reports of a "car on it's roof".

Police and ambulance teams scrambled to the A92 at the Cowdenbeath interchange at around 7.10am on Wednesday, December 8.

Mercy crews remain in attendance following the horror accident and the road has been closed in both directions.

Pictures taken from the scene and post on Fife Jammers show at least four ambulance response unit vehicles in attendance.

The fire service can also be seen on the road.

Emergency specialists can be seen at the scene of the crash, while traffic builds up on the road.

The extent of any injuries sustained as a result of the accident are not yet known.

Raising the alarm, one local posted on Facebook saying: "Massive accident on the A92 before Cowdenbeath eastbound. Car on roof outside lane."

Another added: "Accident is heading towards Kirkcaldy between Crossgates and Cowdenbeath. Ambulance is on the scene and traffic is at a standstill."

At 9.05am Traffic Scotland posted on Twitter: "The A92 remains CLOSED both ways between Crossgates and Cowdenbeath due to an RTC.

"Onslips to A92 from the #M90 J2A and the Crossgates Roundabout have been CLOSED.

"W/B traffic being diverted off at Cowdenbeath."

Speaking the the Record, Police Scotland confirmed the alarm was raised at 7.10am and that officers remain in attendance.
