Aberdeen have five live next manager options and one boss with Premier League experience declares interest
Aberdeen have begun the search for a new manager after they axed Stephen Glass at the weekend.
Former Hibs boss Jack Ross and St Mirren’s Jim Goodwin are both being considered, although they have since had a number of applicants that are also appealing and are now in the running.
Dave Cormack met with director of football Steven Gunn and there are potentially four to six live options to consider.
The interview process is set to be ramped up over the next 48 to 72 hours, and former Hibs boss Ross has already declared his interest.
He wants an immediate return after being sacked at Easter Road after a poor start to this season, despite leading them to third spot and the Scottish Cup final.

It may appeal to chairman Cormack who has a sporting rivalry with Hibs owner Ron Gordon, giving his boss the chance to try and shake Aberdeen up again.
Goodwin built his reputation at Alloa and since went to St Mirren where he has built them up and sitting in the top half.
There have also been applicants with English Premier League experience and with top Championship CVs.
Caretaker Barry Robson wants to be a future manager but won’t be throwing his hat into the ring for the vacant Aberdeen job.
The former Scotland midfielder is currently the under-18 coach with the Dons and has been asked to take charge of first-team affairs, along with captain Scott Brown, Neil Simpson and Scott Anderson.
Robson, who is only taking the team for a game or two, expects a quickfire appointment but it won’t be him.
He said: “Everybody is going to ask that question.
“Everybody knows my ambition is to be a head coach or manager and to progress in football.
“You all know what I was like as a player.
“I went away over the last couple of years and worked in the background.
“I have stayed in the background to really work and put a model in place.

“I am just looking forward to the next couple of games.
“They’ll be looking for other managers, no doubt about that. We’ll just have to see how it goes on Tuesday. You know I’m here to try and win a game on Tuesday and that’s all I’m focusing on.”
