Aston Villa tease new Adidas home kit ahead of 202425 season
Aston Villa will wear Adidas shirts next season after two controversial years with Castore

Aston Villa's president of business operations Chris Heck has posted a cryptic picture teasing the theme of the club's new home shirt ahead of next season - and confirming that Adidas are going to be on board as the new kit manufacturer.

Villa have had Castore as the club's provider of kit for the last two years, and before that they've also had Luke 1977, Kappa, Under Armour and Macron. For 2024-25, though, it'll be Adidas who are creating and manufacturing the shirts and kit. Villa owner Nassef Sawiris has a minority share in Adidas of almost 6%.

On Friday, Heck - who has recently given an in-depth interview confirming that Villa have made big strides forward on the sponsorship front as regards to manufacturer, front of shirt sponsor and sleeve sponsor - posted the photo below which contains the iconic Adidas Three Stripes logo in the centre of a light blue crest, as Villa prepare to unveil their new badge.

The photo is of a claret and blue mural on the side of a building and resembles a stained glass window with the word 'Prepared' beneath the badge.

"We're working around the clock trying to do sponsorship deals, changing the stadium to be beneficial to Financial Fair Play, find new revenue streams, take in our merchandise in-house and things of that nature," Heck said.

"The growth of sponsorship has doubled, in the sense of our three big assets - the front of shirt, the kit provider and the sleeve sponsor. Those deals are massive. We're really excited about getting those deals going in the summer, and we'll have a foundation to build on this business with those sponsors. As we add on more sponsors, we add on more nuances with the stadium and premium seating and merchandising."
