Cristiano Ronaldo Sends Message to Al Nassrs Womens Team
Cristiano Ronaldo drops a one-word message to celebrate Al Nassr women's team's two-peat SWPL triumph, after beating their arch-rivals.

Cristiano Ronaldo is not just Al Nassr’s MVP. The 5x-Ballon d’Or winner is also an unofficial ambassador to the Riyadh-based outfit. He cannot stop himself from savoring all the successes of his club. Just when Ronaldo celebrated Al Nassr’s comeback to the ‘winning ways’ after beating Al Ahli 0-1, their Women’s Team took home the Saudi Premier League title.

Al Nassr and its women’s team’s social handles posted a picture of the recently crowned Saudi Women’s Premier League champions and their coaching staff. “Our ladies making history for the 2nd time in a row. We are very proud,” they captioned their post. If Al Nassr is celebrating their women’s stars’ SWPL double, can Cristiano Ronaldo be far behind? CR7 took to Instagram stories and shared the club’s post. “Congratulations,” wrote Ronaldo on his post, adding two trophy emojis that refer to the women’s team’s two-peat.

Having won eight, drawn one, and lost one out of their 10 matches, Al Nassr’s Women’s team was already topping the Saudi Premier League table before last night’s final clash against Al Hilal. The match was icing on the cake for them. Al Nassr ousted Al Hilal 4-2 to grab their 2nd title in a row. Al Nassr finished the League with 28 points, 10 points clear of the second seed, Al Ahli.

While Al Nassr’s women’s team and their youth teams are bringing smiles to the fan’s faces, the same cannot yet be said about their men’s team led by Ronaldo.

The women’s team’s two peat marked the second trophy Al Nassr added to their cabinet this year. Earlier, Cristiano Ronaldo’s 13-year-old son lifted his first trophy with Al Nassr. The Riyadh club finished on top in the Saudi Premier League U-13 table when the tournament concluded in February. Similar to his recent celebration, Cristiano Ronaldo was on cloud nine back then. But it seems he has to wait to savor his own success with Al Nassr’s main team.

Al Nassr is currently nine points shy of the Saudi League’s top seed- Al Hilal. Thankfully, they snapped their losing streak last night after Ronaldo’s penalty kick goal sealed Al Ahli’s fate. Nevertheless, Al Nassr is recovering from the shocking AFC Champions League exit. Even so, Al Nassr still has got a shot at winning silverware this season. The club faces Al Hilal in the Saudi Super Cup SF on April 09. Thereafter, Ronaldo and Co. will play Al Khaleej in the King Cup of Champions SF on April 30.

If things go well, Luis Castro’s team could join Al Nassr’s women’s and junior teams to expand the club’s trophy cabinet.
