Alison Hammond was left screaming on Monday's This Morning as she dove into a freezing lake in Lapland and suffered a wardrobe malfunction afterwards.

The hilarious host, 46, slipped into a busty red swimsuit, shower cap and a black dressing gown for her chilling dip in the lake in Jeris.

Keen to experience the health benefits of the icy waters, Alison jumped in but soon called out: 'That's enough, I can't get back' before being helped out of the water.

She began to scream: 'I did it, I did it, I feel amazing!' as her dressing gown fell to one shoulder.

Alison quickly adjusted her red costume as she cried out: "I'm showing too much juice! See you later' - as hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield cracked up.

Fans quickly took to Twitter to praise the star, writing: 'I will take my hat off to you Alison. There is no way on this earth I would do that. I salute you.'

Another wrote: 'This is where I love Alison out and about rather than in the studio presenting, well done'

Earlier this month, during a Dating Dilemmas segment on This Morning, Alison gave her take on online dating and revealed it is how she met her last boyfriend. 

Co-host Dermot O'Leary asked Alison whether she had ever tried the modern-day method of meeting someone, to which she said: 'A lot.'   

She continued, drawing on her own experience: 'My last boyfriend was online, I met him online, so yeah. It’s the way forward.'

Dermot, 48, asked her how she works out which images to select for her profile.

'I put about ten pictures, loads, and they’re like "are you really Alison Hammond?"' she joked, causing Dermot to erupt into laughter.  

Although not naming the mystery man whom she met online, she could have been referring to Jamie Savage.

The Brummie-born TV star met security guard Jamie through a dating website and got engaged to him in 2014 before calling time on the romance in 2017.
