United States Alison Hammond ‘prays for her son every day’ as she pays tribute to rarely seen teen
Alison Hammond says that she prays daily for her rarely-seen teenage son, Aiden, in a touching social media post.
The 47-year-old This Morning host shares her 17-year-old son with her ex-hubsand, Manchester cab driver Noureddine Boufaied – with the star falling pregnant shortly after finding fame on the third series of Big Brother back in 2002.
On Monday, Alison shared a montage of photographs and videos of her teen son as she made an impromptu and passionate tribute to him via Instagram.
The morning TV show host soundtracked her collection of imagery with an acoustic cover of Disclosure's song Latch with images showing them enjoying a trip to the seaside together.
Alongside the video, Alison wrote: “My baby is growing up so fast. Everyday I pray for him and he will always be the apple of my eye. My Aidan, My last Real love."
Alison’s This Morning co-star Vanessa Feltz was among those to react to the post, writing: "He is a credit to you and a handsome kind beautiful blessing. Plus his mum isn’t too shabby either."
Fellow This Morning star Josie Gibson gushed: "I love this so much! He's a real gentleman I bet your so proud you've done so well x [sic]."
While Alison's fans also shared their thoughts, with one writing: "He will always be yr baby Alison, mines 38 & I still treat him like a lil boy."
And another wrote: "Handsome young man Alison, he has a super kind Mummy too."
Alison has previously opened up about her regret over not ever having more children.
Last year, she told Hello!: "My one wish would be that I'd had more children. I wish I'd had another three back then.
"I would totally consider adoption in the future. I've got so much more love to give – I don't think I'm done with one child, I'm just not.
"Aidan has already got two sisters and a brother from his dad's side, who he still sees."
She added: "Aidan is like my twin who was born 30 years later. He was born on my birthday, on 5 February 2005.
"Our personalities are very similar. We lock horns a lot, I'm not going to lie. Sometimes he thinks he knows it all, or that he's older than me.
"Ultimately, it's a balancing act to parent him in the best way that I can, but also still allow his personality to come through and have his say in things."
Alison’s romantic life has seen her married once and engaged once too.
She was married to Noureddine in the naughties but they ultimately divorced at some point before 2014 – and after welcoming Aiden together.
Alison matched with a single dad named Jamie Savage in 2014 via a dating website and the pair fell madly in love and became engaged.
A source told The Sun at the time: "He's a security guard, which suits Alison fine. She may be a celebrity, but she's incredibly down to earth and doesn't have any airs or graces."
But the romance was not to last, and the couple broke up in 2017, with Alison saying: "We split up. It's the worst news ever. I don't think I want anyone else now.”
She later enjoyed a fling with audio technician Ben Kusi who she met via Celebs Go Dating – but the romance fizzled out after a couple of weeks.
