hilarious switchup
Alison Hammond has become a firm favourite on This Morning and regularly presents alongside Dermot O'Leary.

This Morning viewers are in for a surprise as Alison Hammond, the show's regular host, is temporarily replaced by a major Hollywood star. The 49-year-old former Big Brother contestant has been a staple of This Morning since 2002, starting as a generic reporter before climbing the ranks to become a main presenter in 2021.

She gained viral fame in 2017 when she interviewed Canadian actor Ryan Gosling, 43, and American icon Harrison Ford, 81, during their promotional tour for the sci-fi drama Blade Runner 2049.

The interview took a hilarious turn when Alison confessed she hadn't seen the film, leading to fits of laughter that quickly made the clip go viral, racking up millions of views online. Now, Alison finds herself reunited with Ryan - but this time, he's taken over the hosting seat in an attempt to keep things more professional.

Ryan is currently promoting his new film The Fall Guy, co-starring British actress Emily Blunt, 41. The pair found themselves on the other side of the table, with Alison grilling them about their experiences making the new movie.

Alison Hammond left fans in stitches with a sneak peek of her unconventional celebrity interview on Instagram, teasing an upcoming segment with Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt for their film "It's not your standard celebrity interview..."

The This Morning Instagram penned alongside the video: "@alisonhammond55 reunites with Ryan Gosling alongside Emily Blunt to chat about their latest movie, The Fall Guy, this Monday on #ThisMorning! " on #ThisMorning." The clip shows Alison's playful banter with Ryan, asking him, "Do you remember me, Ryan? " to which he affirms, "Yes."

She reminisces about their previous encounter: "That was so much fun that day! " and recalls how Ryan once took over the camera during an interview.

Alison cheekily suggests: "Maybe you should interview me and Emily? " leading Ryan to challenge them to be "funny".

The teaser promises laughs with Emily and Alison connecting, and the full interview is eagerly anticipated for Monday's show.

Alison fondly recalled a memorable moment from a past interview with Ryan and Harrison Ford, where she debated honesty versus flattery, recounting, "[Ryan] asked the question, 'Are you a big fan of the film? ', and I was like, 'Well, no I'm not! Do I tell him the truth? Do I lie? What do I do? '".

"But I thought, you know what, my mum always says, always tell the truth, so I said, 'I've never seen it, babes', and I think that got things going. He started laughing and I started laughing, and it settled the moment.

"After, I thought, 'Was that any good? Have we got anything? I don't think we've got any content about the film whatsoever.' I can remember my producer saying, 'Don't worry, we can do something with that, it'll be fine'."

This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
