Alison Hammond says 'my dream's come true' as she ends up in bed ...

TV favourite Alison Hammond got the surprise of her life during Michael McIntyre’s Big Show on Saturday, February 3. The 48-year-old This Morning star is the latest celebrity to take part in the Midnight Game Show – and even came face to face with her childhood crush, Jason Donovan.

After receiving numerous surprises – including being greeted by Big Brother voiceover Marcus Bentley in her bedroom, as well as TV chef Rustie Lee and Denise Pearson from ‘80s band Five Star – Alison got the surprise of her life when host Michael McIntyre told her she’d be playing a game of Mr & Mrs from her bed.

Alison was tasked with working out who her mysterious Mr was as he sat behind a wall in her bed. A self-confessed Jason Donovan fan, Alison told Michael: “You’ve made my dream come true,” after finding out it was the former Neighbours star.

Alison, who quickly cuddled Jason and requested the wall be removed from the bed, added: “When [Jason] was getting married to Kylie in Neighbours, I used to dream it was me instead.” Jason replied: “I am married!” And Alison quipped: “Forget her…”

Chatting to Michael on stage afterwards, Alison said: “That was the most bizarre thing that’s ever happened to me.” She added: “I’m not even joking everyone, if you can have that happen to you then go for it.”

Following Alison's appearance viewers shared their thoughts on social media platform X (formerly Twitter). One person wrote: "I love Alison Hammond #MidnightGameshow."

A second said: "Literally must be the first time that @AlisonHammond has had cameras in her bedroom since the days of @bbuk!" And a third commented: "Alison Hammond and Jason Donovan got me crying with laughter."
