ACDC announce Croke Park gig as part of European tour

Rockers AC/DC have announced a Croke Park date as part of a European tour.

Their 'Power Up' tour, named for their latest studio album, will see the group play 21 dates across 10 countries this summer including Germany, Italy, Spain, France and the Netherlands.

The band will end the tour on August 17th in Dublin.

It will be their first tour in Europe for eight years and will see them performing at some of the biggest stadiums across the continent.

Described as one of the most influential rock bands in history, with over 200 million albums sold worldwide, the band's 'Back In Black' LP is the ‘best-selling album by any band ever’ and the ‘third best-selling album by any artist’ with global sales of 50 million and counting.

AC/DC was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2003 and into the Music Victoria Awards Hall of Fame in their native Australia.

They sell millions of albums annually and generate streams in the billions.

The 'Power Up' tour will see Angus Young on lead guitar, vocalist Brian Johnson, rhythm guitarist Stevie Young, drummer Matt Laug and a new bass player to carry the torch for Cliff Williams.

Tickets go on sale on Friday February 16th at 9am from Ticketmaster.
