Adam Peaty has had an incredible year. Not only he is the reigning Olympic, World, European and Commonwealth 100m breaststroke champion, but he has made himself a household name through his appearance on Strictly Come Dancing 2021.

This recent move into the spotlight will undoubtedly see many lucrative advertising and sponsorship deals headed his way.

This year, Peaty’s net worth is estimated to be between £735,000 and £3.5 million.

Unlike many other countries, the UK doesn’t pay its athletes for winning medals at the Olympics, so many sporting stars like Peaty turn to other income streams.

All Team GB athletes are financially supported by Government and lottery funding, but Peaty also earns a pretty penny through his multiple side gigs.

Peaty has featured in many advertising campaigns with companies such as Quorn and DFS.

Another lucrative money earner for the Olympian has been through his appearance on Strictly 2021.

Although Peaty didn’t manage to lift the Glitterball Trophy which would’ve earned him £100,000, he was still paid a large sum to appear on the show.

According to Metro celebrities are paid at least £25,000 to appear on the show.

These earnings increase if celebs manage to stay in the competition.

Those who manage to make it to the end of October reportedly see their wages increase to £40,000.

Peaty has also proven himself to be a savvy businessman, starting his own business, the Adam Peaty Sports Clinic.

The Adam Peaty Sports Clinic supports aspiring Olympians, providing them with help for everything from coaching to nutrition.

The company actively tours the UK looking for new swimming stars.

He has also launched a subscription platform, "AP Race Plus", to advise budding athletes.

Peaty wrote of the company on his website: ”When I eventually leave the sport, I want to ensure that I leave behind much more than times in a record book.

“Sport is one of the most powerful things in the world and it changes people's lives every day.”

He added: ”I want to make sure that over the coming years I invest both time and resources into projects that help to support many future generations of athletes to come."
