Burrana to showcase RISE Platform at the Aircraft Interiors Expo

Burrana will be showcasing the company’s innovative RISE Platform power solution on stand #4D42 at the Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX) in Hamburg from 28-30 May.

The company will be demonstrating the RISE Power solution, which it says is now flying on over 200 aircraft worldwide, available for retrofit and line-fit installations and a selectable option in the Airbus A320 family BFE Catalogue.

The solution was shortlisted for the 2024 Crystal Cabin Awards Cabin Systems category and Burrana says it features several key differentiators for both airlines and passengers, such as the fastest 15W charging via USB-A and 60W via USB-C ports, lightest weight USB power, >20% lighter than traditional architectures and 48VDC architecture which allows seamless flexibility to mix and match 15W/60W/110V power across seat zones/classes.

Other innovative features include smart load balancing that ensures all connected devices receive equitable charging, easy upgrade to 60W USB-C simply by changing outlets and collection of usage and maintenance data to assist airlines in operating the system at peak performance.

According to Burrana, the solution supports Broadcast Overhead IFE, CSS Database Updates, PSS and more.
