Emmerdale star Anna Nightingale gives birth to second child and reveals baby name

Emmerdale star Anna Nightingale has welcomed her second baby with fiancé Daren Dixon.

The actress, who portrayed Andrea Tate in the ITV soap, first revealed she was expecting another child back in September.

She gave birth on December 1, sharing her happy news on Monday (December 13) in an emotional post on social media.

‘The wait is finally over,’ she wrote on Instagram, alongside a picture of the newborn baby holding her finger. ‘Hello bubba.’

Congratulations!

Anna, 30, told OK! Magazine: ‘Just in time for Christmas our little pudding has arrived safe and well.’

‘The four of us are home and in our cosy bubble of sleepless nights and endless cuddles.’

Anna and Daren have named their newborn Ava Noëlle.

Several of the soap star’s Emmerdale colleagues were quick to comment on her Instagram snap, with Ben Tucker star Simon Lennon writing: ‘Ahh wonderful!! Congratulations mate’.

Rebecca Sarker, who plays Manpreet Sharma in the serial drama added: ‘Made my day xxx’

Amy Walsh (Tracy Metcalfe) said: ‘omg congratulations!!!!!!,’ while Belle Dingle actress Eden Taylor-Draper wrote: ‘Ahhhhhh Anna.’

Speaking to OK! Magazine, Anna explained back in September how she and Daren had to work out the perfect time to tell four-year-old daughter Autumn about her pregnancy.

‘Autumn’s very vocal and loves to talk to everyone’, she said.

‘We had to be calculated about when we told her. We knew she’d do something like be in our local shop and say, ‘I’ll have this ice lolly please, and mummy’s having a baby!’

Discussing how Autumn discovered the news, Anna revealed: ‘I made her a movie trailer! I put a little scan video in, and I could see the cogs turning in her mind and it dawned on her.’

Anna made her debut in Emmerdale in 2018, when Andrea rocked up in the village with daughter Millie, surprising legendary Kim Tate with the revelation that she was Jamie’s wife!

The character was killed off in dramatic scenes earlier this year, when she became the second villager to meet her demise at the hands of serial killer Meena Jutla.
