Arnold Schwarzenegger's lookalike son Joseph Baena talks aspirations of becoming an action star

Arnold Schwarzenegger's lookalike son Joseph Baena spoke candidly about following in his father's footsteps during an interview with INSIDE EDITION on Thursday.

The 24-year-old realtor, who is the love child of his dad and Schwarzenegger family housekeeper Mildred Baena, gushed over the 74-year-old actor and revealed that he, too, wants to become an action star.

Despite the admiration, Baena stressed that he has no plans to take on the recognizable Schwarzenegger last name.

'You have a famous last name, but you don't use it?' asked Inside Edition's Victoria Recano.

'Well I already have a last name, and I don't have a problem with my last name. I like my last name,' he replied, before gushing over both of his parents and his determination to make them proud.

'My mom is one of my main motivators, and seeing her and how she works so hard, I want to make her proud,' Joseph explained.

'Same with my father. What he made of himself from nothing. I mean, both of my parents are immigrants that kind of created something out of nothing.

'So, seeing them, it's been a huge inspiration, and I want to make them proud. I want to make myself proud,' said Baena.

Just like Arnold, Joseph has immersed himself in the word of bodybuilding and has garnered attention online for having a near-identical physique to the Predator star.

He took the outlet along with him as he performed a grueling workout at Gold's Gym in Venice Beach, where Arnold famously launched his bodybuilding career.

'So much history. Nothing beats this place because of the energy and community,' he remarked. 

Joseph also has his sights set on Hollywood after watching Arnold star in countless box office hits like the Terminator franchise and Total Recall.

He recently recreated a scene from Terminator, which he shared images of with the outlet. 

But Joseph stressed to Inside Edition that he doesn't want to mirror his father's success. Instead, he wants to make his own way in the entertainment industry. 

'Do you feel like you have big shoes to fill?' asked Recano, to which Baena replied: 'Literally we have same shoe size. My career path is just my own.'

As to whether or not the father-son duo would star alongside one another in a future action flick, Joseph put the ball in Arnold's court.

'He's the boss you have to ask him. He's the boss.,' he said.

In 2011, it was revealed that Arnold had secretly fathered a child with Mildred while she was working as a housekeeper for the Schwarzenegger family back in the 1990s.

Mildred gave birth to Joseph in October 1996. 

At the time of conception, Arnold was married to journalist Maria Shriver. They'd welcomed sons Patrick, 28, Chris, 24, and daughters Katherine, 32, and Christina, 30, during the span of their relationship.  

But July of 2011, Arnold's then-wife Maria filed for divorce after 25 years of marriage. In December 2021, the former couple's divorce was officially finalized.   

Joseph was just 15-years-old at the time when news of the love affair made headlines across the globe. 

After 10 years of media attention, Joseph stressed to Inside Edition that he's become an expert at ignoring reports about himself, his mother, and his famous father.

'The media… it's always been in my face. I drown it out like outside noise.'

While he continues to pursue his acting dreams, Joseph has been working as a real estate agent in the Los Angeles area.

He is currently touting a $25million dollar listing in Beverly Hills despite only recently earning his real estate license.

Joseph has been opening up about his relationship with Arnold and even recently revealed on the Unwaxed podcast that he and the Terminator actor are 'very close' and like to 'joke about everything.'
