Asda shoppers in Bristol can buy Gucci clothes from £12 today in store

Asda shoppers in Bristol can buy Gucci clothes from 12 today in store
But you'll have to hunt them down

Who doesn't love a bargain? Especially when it comes to designer clothes that retail for thousands of pounds.

It's the crossover you didn't know you needed - Asda and Gucci - a beloved Italian fashion brand and your local supermarket.

The bargain supermarket chain will be selling Gucci clothes for as little as £12 - but you'd better be quick.

Today (Friday, November 26) George at Asda will be selling a range of pre-loved Gucci garms across its stores for customers to buy, as the Mirror reports.

The unusual move coincides with the release of Ridley Scott’s blockbuster House of Gucci - which stars Lady Gaga and Jared Leto.

The catch? No one knows where they are - and you'll have to seek them out, with savvy staff hiding the treasures.

30 exclusive pieces will be hidden in stores around the UK - including in Bristol - with customers forced to hunt for the chance to purchase a piece of designer history for as little as £12.

The stunt is being run in association with vintage wholesaler PreLoved - the supermarket’s sustainability partner and coincides with the UK release of House of Gucci.

Secret Gucci treasures will be hidden throughout the UK on George at Asda shopfloors, with shoppers able to bag a bargain, with new Gucci coats costing up to £4k, while a simple pair of stocks socks retails at £145.

Announced earlier this year as part of the retailer’s ‘George for Good’ commitment, you can already buy vintage pieces in 50 supermarkets across the UK, including in Bristol, Birmingham, London and Edinburgh.

Steve Lynam, the managing director of Preloved Wholesaler LTD, said: "Our partnership with George at Asda is one that we are extremely proud of, so we’re delighted to be able to offer their customers the chance to pick up something they have always dreamed of owning in their local supermarket.”

Lauren Mallins from George at Asda added: "Whether you are a lover of vintage or just want to make more sustainable choices, our hand-picked PreLoved pieces are always a treasure trove of gems and now Gucci is adding to our customers’ reasons to shop with us."

Any lucky shoppers who find a vintage piece is encouraged to share it on social media with the hashtag #Preloved and #HouseofGucci.
