As Lorraine introduced her show, she showcased an array of costumes from well-known films.

Pointing at the white shirt, Lorraine said: "Ben, that was made for you!"

To which Ben replied: "I thought it was Wee Willie W***y's..." before quickly correcting himself: "Wee Willie Winkie's nightgown!"

Although he quickly corrected himself, his blunder didn’t go unnoticed as Kate and Lorraine ended up in fits of laughter.

Lorraine cheekily replied: "Wee Willie W***y? How very dare you!"

Putting her arm around Ben as he was embarrassed, Kate added: "This Morning is feeling really good right now and we love it don't we Lorraine!"

Elsewhere on the show, Ben confirmed his final Good Morning Britain episode will be tomorrow.

The popular anchor has previously spoken out about how leaving his show "wife" was the "hardest decision".

In a new chapter of his telly career, Ben and former SMTV Live host Cat Deeley will join the This Morning team next month as they replace Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield who both left last year.

The Sun revealed that the pay for the new duo is understood to be around £550,000 each — £150,000 less than Holly and Phil.

Their appointment confirmed The Sun's exclusive back in December.

In a statement, Ben said of his new role: "This really feels like a very special moment for Cat and I to be part of the next chapter of This Morning.

"It’s an honour to be trusted with the reigns, join Alison and Dermot and all the team that work on and off screen and do such a great job.

"For the last ten years I’ve been waking up with our ITV daytime audience on GMB and I now look forward to spending time with Cat, welcoming the viewers home after the school run or from their early morning routines, with a cup of tea and a mix of everything that makes This Morning so loved."

Meanwhile, it was reported how Ben refused to sign his This Morning contract until he knew the identity of his co-host.
