Burnley vs Wolves live: Mike Jackson reaction as Clarets pile pressure on Everton with vital win

Pundit Jamie Redknapp feels Burnley's win over Southampton last time out was a huge step forward in the Clarets' quest for top flight survival.

Under caretaker boss Mike Jackson, Burnley have taken an impressive four points from their last two games against West Ham United and the Saints. Victory last time out closed the gap to 17th placed Everton down to just one point, though the Toffees do have one game in hand.

Burnley now prepare to host Wolves on Sunday afternoon, while Frank Lampard takes his players to Anfield for a daunting Merseyside derby against rivals Liverpool. The relegation dogfight has all the signs of going right down to the wire, and Redknapp thinks this weekend is a pivotal one.

"Burnley have good honest characters and have given themselves a lifeline," said Redknapp, after Burnley's win over Southampton on Thursday. "Whether Sean Dyche was in charge or not, Burnley will have identified the matches against Southampton, Wolves and Watford as games where they could really get points.
