Mural painted in memory of Plymouth 'Morrisons cat'

Mural painted in memory of Plymouth Morrisons cat
Grace was a favourite among the supermarket's shoppers in Plymouth.

In a Facebook post, Mike Vosper, from Plymouth Artists Together, said the mural was a "fitting tribute" to Grace.

He thanked "Jeremy and Sarah, the two local councillors for funding this through Plymouth's Artists Together; Jordan, AKA SpraySaint, for his amazing work, and landlord Steve for permission to use his wall."

When asked about the mural, she said: "It's actually really nice because it shows that they care about her and that she's still hanging about Morrisons."

She described Grace as "quite famous around this area" and said a collection held while the mural was being painted had raised £50 for Cats Protection.

Florence added that it was "really nice" that Grace's memory was helping to raise money for other cats and people could donate via Grace's Facebook page.

A Morrisons spokesperson said: "Grace was a well-loved extra member of our team, who always showed purr-fect customer service and made our customers and colleagues smile every day."
