Celtic 3 Dundee 2 LIVE reaction as the Hoops stretch their lead at top of the table

Giorgos Giakoumakis was the hero at Celtic Park as the Hoops stretched their lead at the top of the Premiership with a late win over Dundee.

The Greek striker hit a treble that saw Celtic take full advantage of Rangers' earlier slip to move three clear of their rivals.

They had to battle for it as Danny Mullen's early goal from a set-piece had them on the ropes.

They needed something special to get back into it and Giakoumakis turned the game on its head with two instinctive finishes before half-time - the first a wonderful swivelling volley.

Dundee weren't lying down in Mark McGhee's first game though and got back into it through Ryan Sweeney's header.

The visitors, who lost 6-0 here earlier in the season, were desperate for the point and it looked as if they were going to get it as the clock ticked on towards the 90th minute.

But a diving header from Giakoumakis after a wonderful cross from Anthony Ralston saw Parkhead erupt as they sealed a huge victory.
