A reinforced metal fence was also erected on Friday after fans chucked missiles and lobbed barriers in an ugly demo against manager Neil Lennon and the Celtic board last week.

Police horses and the dog unit are also on standby along with the force helicopter should it be needed.

The Hoops are playing St Johnstone at 3pm today and the team arrived at the ground 90 minutes before kick off in a coach.

They were escorted into the rear of the stadium and were cheered by a handful of fans, who also shouted 'sack the board'.
