Celtic vs St Johnstone team news as Premier Sports Cup semifinal comes too early for Rogic and Starfelt
Both sides will be desperate to make it into next month's showpiece final back at Hampden

It's almost showtime at Hampden Park as Celtic and St Johnstone face off for a place in next month's Premier Sports Cup final.

Ange Postecoglou will be desperate to see his side through while Callum Davidson stares immortality in the face with another showpiece finale following last season's incredible double cup winning campaign.

It'll be a rocking atmosphere from the get-go with both sides ready to leave it all out on the pitch for 90 minutes or more.

Celts are without Giorgos Giakoumakis who pulled up in training while Carl Starfelt and Tom Rogic couldn't find fitness in time following a period out of action.

Postecoglou has chosen Nir Bitton and Stephen Welsh ahead of the injured pair and James Forrest returns to the fold, albeit on the bench.

Celtic starting XI: Hart, Ralston, Carter-Vickers, Welsh, Juranovic, Bitton, Turnbull, McGregor, Abada, Jota, Kyogo.

Subs: Bain, Scales, Ajeti, McCarthy, Johnston, Soro, Urhoghide, Forrest, Montgomery.

St Johnstone starting XI: Clark, Rooney, Brown, Gordon, McCart, Booth, Bryson, Davidson, O'Halloran, Kane, Wotherspoon.

Subs: Parrish, Muller, Ambrose, Dendoncker, Craig, Crawford, Vertainen, Northcott, Moreland.
