The Saudi Super Cup between Al Hilal and Al Nassr was a rollercoaster full of emotions. Jorge Jesus’ side dominated against their arch-rivals, as they won 2-1 against Luis Castro and Co. However, the main highlight of the match was Cristiano Ronaldo getting sent off. As the aftermath of the Riyadh Derby continues to make strides in the soccer world, questions loom as to how many matches he will miss due to this suspension. 

The red card was awarded after the Portuguese superstar was squared up against an Al Hilal star while chasing the ball. That wasn’t the end, as he even made eyebrow-raising gestures against the referees. Hence, as per the reports, with these antics, the 39-year-old has received a one-match ban, but it extends to another mach for his disgraceful behavior by the Disciplinary Committee. He is allegedly expected to make a return against Al-Khaleej in the King’s Cup semi-finals on May 1, Wednesday. 

Drama in tonight’s match made it up for the fans, but it was not the game Al Nassr expected it to be. After a stalemate first half, Al Hilal drew first blood with the help of Salem Aldawsari. Minutes later, Malcom doubled the Blues Waves’ lead.
