Ralf Little shares emotional message after move away from Death In
Ralf Little stepped down from his role as Death In Paradise's lead detective DI Neville Parker last month after four years on the show.

Ralf Little has shared an emotional message with fans following the end of his nationwide tour with Will Mellor. The Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps co-stars hit the road earlier this month to entertain fans in a range of cities including Leeds, Birmingham, Scarborough and lastly Sheffield.

Concluding their tour on Sunday night, the pair appeared in high spirits as they stood in front of a three-tier crowd for a picture om stage, which they shared on Instagram. Captioning the post, the pair thanked fans for all their support with the podcast and shows in an emotional statement.

The caption read: "To every single person who came out to see us, bought tickets, bought some merch, spent this hard earned money on a bit of fun with our little pod, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

"We’ve had the best time this month so much so, that we might just do it again sometime soon! A big shout out to your hosts @willmellor76 & @ralf.little and also all the team who put everything into these shows so you can have a fun night to remember."

Many of the pair's followers flocked to the comments section to express just how much they had enjoyed the show. One commented: "Fab show last night in Sheffield, laughed from start to finish," while a second typed: "Nottingham was brilliant, never laughed so much, had fantastic night!"

A third typed: "It was another amazing tour, thank YOU so much x."

Ralf and Will's tour comes just weeks after the former left his role as Death In Paradise's Neville Parker.

The actor played Saint Marie's lead detective for just over four years making him the show's longest-serving DI so far.

Marking his exit, emotional scenes saw Neville riding off in the sunset on a boat with co-star Florence Cassell (played by Josephine Jobert).

Just hours after his departure was aired, Ralf told The Big Issue of his exit: “It’s a bit of a weird one.

"It hasn’t really felt real, even though I filmed the last day of the show because I haven’t been able to tell anyone."

The actor added: “But it’s very real now the world knows, and it’s exciting to be ready for new adventures."

Ralf went on to say leaving the show also felt "bittersweet" as the BBC drama had been "one of the most profound and magical experiences in my life.".

Since his departure, a whole host of names have been thrown into the mix about who could replace him.

Last week, Harry Potter star Rupert Grint became the new favourite in odds shared by Coral bookmakers, followed by Mathew Horne, Simon Bird, Martin Clunes and Diane Morgan.

More recently, some fans have suggested that Beyond Paradise police officer Kelby Hartford, portrayed by Dylan Llewellyn, could be the new detective.

On a fan Facebook page, one said of the potential move: "Kelby is so me, I'm terrible at explaining things. bet he solves the case... promotion to St Marie #beyondparadise."

"Awww Kelby, my sweet summer child get him to St Marie, where he can mature," a second agreed while a third echoed: "Yes to replace Ralf Little."

Despite speculation, the BBC are yet to confirm who the replacement will be.

Death in Paradise is available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
