Week 16 NFL DFS The Value Report FantasyCrunchercom DFS Articles Insights
Welcome to the Value Report for Week 15. Sharing top value plays at each position for FanDuel, Draft

There are a lot of different ways to determine who is a value play when it comes to DFS.

You have your traditional way of basing value strictly off of salary. X player is only Y in salary thus he is a value play. I personally don’t like to determine value that way as just because a player is cheap doesn’t actually mean they are a value. Instead of using just salary to determine value, I like to use projections and salary. I look at how high a player is projected relative to his peers and his salary relative to his peers as well.

For example, Player X is the 5th highest projected wide receiver on DraftKings but is only the 15th most expensive wide receiver. That to me is a great value. Another way I like to look at value is to look at how expensive a player is relative to other sites. For instance Player G is the 4th most expensive quarterback on FanDuel and the 5th most expensive quarterback on DraftKings but is the 13th most expensive quarterback on Yahoo. That player would also stand out as a value for me on Yahoo. In this article, we will be breaking down some of the top values we have found using those two formulas on each of the three sites for each of the positions.

Note: You will see some changes in the Salary Rank and Projection rank. Though this article only pertains to the Main Slate of games the Salary Rank and Projection Rank will encompass all players for the week (Thursday-Monday). You can also sort the projection and salary ranks directly on FC now under the columns titled Position Rankings and Overall Rankings.

Quarterback Values

I am going to keep this article short and sweet today by focusing on my favorite value at each position using the salary rank to projection rank. At the quarterback position that player is Matt Ryan. Ryan is the 18th most expensive quarterback on DraftKings and 15th on FanDuel while checking in as the 8th highest projected quarterback this week.

I am going to give you two running back values that jump out at me this week as one is on DraftKings the other is on FanDuel. For DraftKings, the player that jumps out at me is James Robinson. Robinson is the 18th most expensive running back on that site while being the fifth-highest projected player (highest on this slate) at the position. On FanDuel the running back that jumps out at me is Alexander Mattison. Mattison is the 30th most expensive running back on FanDuel this week while checking in as the 6th highest projected (2nd highest on this slate) player at his position.

Antonio Brown is my top value at the wide receiver position this week though I do like him more on DraftKings than FanDuel value-wise. Brown is the 6th highest projected wide receiver this week and the 13th most expensive wideout on FanDuel and just the 33rd most expensive wideout on DraftKings this week.

Jared Cook is the easy choice for top tight end value this week as he is the third-highest projected player at the position and checks in as the 19th most expensive tight end on DraftKings and 15th highest on FanDuel.
