Borussia Dortmund confirm Donyell Malen set for Aston Villa move

Borussia Dortmund have confirmed Donyell Malen will not be involved in their Bundesliga game with Holsten Keil as he is in talks with another club, which, according to widespread reports, is Aston Villa.

The Dutch forward is set to join Unai Emery's side, with a fee reported to be in the region of €23m (£19.4m) plus €3m.

Malen joined Dortmund from PSV Eindhoven in the summer of 2021, and has scored 39 goals in 132 appearances for the club.

While he is set to leave Dortmund, former Villa starlet Carney Chukwuemeka could be on the way to Westfalenstadion in a loan deal from Chelsea.

The Blues reportedly wanted a permanent deal for the midfielder, but their stance has since softened.
