Love Islands MollyMae Hague confirms shes been diagnosed with endometriosis in emotional video
The influencer from Hitchin revealed the news on her YouTube channel

Former Love Island star Molly-Mae Hague has revealed she's been diagnosed with endometriosis after years of struggling with painful periods.

The influencer from Hitchin, Hertfordshire, said that she was persuaded to see a private doctor after becoming convinced that she was suffering with the condition.

The NHS website describes endometriosis as a condition where tissue similar to the lining of the womb starts to grow in other places, such as the ovaries and fallopian tubes.

On her YouTube channel, she explained that she wanted to discuss the condition and be open about the "unbearable pain" she has suffered.

She shared: "I actually have got to have an operation for something that I want to tell you guys about. It's kind of a good thing and it's kind of a bad thing.

"I've told you guys for so long now that I suffer with excruciating periods and so many of you guys were commenting on my videos telling me to check for endometriosis."

Molly Mae added: "I went to the doctor a couple of times saying, 'I really think I have endometriosis, I have every sign and symptom of it' and my period pain is to the point where I can't stand up, I'm in unbearble pain and I have to take time off work, it's just ridiculous and I have lots of other symptoms."

However, she believed that her symptoms were serious enough to see a specialist in endometriosis, who said it was 'clear as day' that the condition was causing her pain.

Endometrosis can cause problems with fertility and Molly-Mae added she will need keyhole surgery, which still won't guarantee that it won't come back.

Molly-Mae added that while the diagnosis wasn't good news, it did mean that she could start looking ahead at having the treatment.

The influencer asked her followers and fans for help with blood tests, and said she struggles with doctors and nurses having to take blood - something which will have to happen before her operation.

Molly-Mae revealed the news in a vlog on her YouTube channel where she regularly shares updates with her fans.

In the same video she also joked she wanted to become 'a TikTok legend' after already finding fame on Instagram and YouTube, and revealed behind the scenes secrets from her latest shoot.
