Known for making it to the final of the BBC’s hit show The Traitors, one contestant has also made her mark on three Kent locations.

When not voting out players or taking part in challenges Francesca Rowan-Plowden, also known as Frankie, is an interior designer from East Sussex - but has carried out work on a number of sites in our county.

In her role, she has decorated Goodnestone Park near Canterbury, Battel Hall at Leeds Castle and Kingshill farmhouse at Emley Nature Reserve.

She completed the stately home between the city and Dover in 2017.

The impressive manor dates back to 1704 and was once frequented by Jane Austen, who visited her brother who had married into the family who lived there.

Her business page, Rowan-Plowden, states: “In 2017, she completed the full renovation of stately home Goodnestone Park, in collaboration with Marcus Crane.

“The house was transformed from a run-down 15-bedroom, three-bathroom deserted home to a 12-bedroom, nine-bathroom, luxury wedding venue and holiday accommodation.”

In 2018, Frankie - who was a Faithful in the reality show - renovated Battel Hall on the Leeds Castle estate.

“Emerging from an extensive two-year restoration, the 14th-century manor house is a fine example of Kentish architecture in which its historical splendour has been maintained and meticulously enhanced and decorated,” her website says.

Finally, in 2019, the businesswoman helped Emley Nature Reserve on Sheppey transform an old farm building into a holiday let.

A spokesperson for the site said: “We’ve been so excited to watch Francesca in Traitors and are not at all surprised she did so well – her incredible talent as an interior designer, comes not just from great taste. She’s calm, relaxed but very focused – but most of all she’s got a really innate understanding of people and places and which enables her to bring so much personality and character to her designs which are real, living places.”

The final episode of The Traitors season three aired last night.
