Everything you need to know about the April 16 Pink Moon

A pink full moon is coming on April 16. Here’s what astrologers on TikTok are saying. 

The moon will be at its peak fullness on Saturday, April 16 at 2:55 p.m. ET, but it will first appear early on Friday and last until Monday, according to NASA. The pink full moon ushers in the spring season. It’s associated with the Phlox subulata plant, a pink wildflower that blooms in spring in the Northeast. 

The Dakota tribe referred to it as “the moon when the streams are again navigable,” and the Tlingit tribe dubbed it the “budding moon of plants and shrubs,” according to The Farmer’s Almanac. 

What does the April 2022 pink full moon mean in astrology? 

“The full moon will be at its brightest, creating a moment of realization within the part of your birth chart that contains Libra,” according to NYLON. “Expect a fresh understanding of the relationships in your life — and the things that may be standing in the way of them accessing the harmony the air sign so desires.” 

“This pink moon is special in that it’s the first full moon of the astrological year,” TikToker @helen090283 explained in a video. “During this full moon, we are encouraged to blossom when it comes to goals, friendships, relationships, soul connections, getting the balance right and more.”

The full moon will be in Libra, so @princasswess suggested you “romanticize your life” and manifest the kind of romantic energy you want coming in and out. 

TikToker @alkalinewithadina provided some affirmations for the pink full moon. 

“I see myself in perfect health. I see myself in absolute prosperity. Healthy, vibrant energy flows through me,” she said, advising viewers to repeat the affirmations four times.
