Gal Gadot promotes Tel Aviv during Eurovision broadcast Israel
While Gadot was in Israel over Passover, she filmed a special video clip that aired during the live broadcast around the world, which was essentially an ad promoting tourism to Tel Aviv.
“Three minutes,” the Hollywood superstar began, while Netta Barzilai’s Eurovision-winning song “Toy” played in the background. “The bad news is you’re a Eurovision junkie measuring your life in three-minute segments, the length of a Eurovision song.”
But, she continued: “the good news is, we’re in Tel Aviv, the nonstop city, where three minutes is all you need.”
Gadot went on to tout all the things one can do in three minutes: get the perfect tan, relax by the beach or enjoy a gourmet meal – “in a pita!”

She also joked that “three minutes is the average an Israeli waits before getting personal – a little too personal.” The video cut to Gadot in the back of a cab driven by famed Israeli comedian and Eretz Nehederet star Yuval Semo. Semo’s character tells Gadot – in Hebrew – that he heard Batman and Superman make more money than her, then asks her if she’d consider having a baby “with a stranger... say a cab driver.”
The Wonder Woman star also made a surprising plug for the Na Nach hassidic dancers often spotted around Israel, the calm of Shabbat observance and the crazy nightlife of Tel Aviv.
“Three minutes is all it takes to understand the essence of Tel Aviv,” Gadot said. “Inspiration, innovation, big ideas and open arms. Come as you are, bring who you like, love what you do, day or night, daring and caring, outgoing and including everyone under one hot sun.”
