Galentine's Gift Ideas for Your Besties
With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, it’s important to remember that your bestie boos deserve all the love too. Galentine’s Day gifts are a great way to show your friends just how much you appreciate them. If you’re thinking of hosting or attending a Galentine’s get-together, these gifts could make cute party favors or decorations as well!
Valentine’s Themed Candy Salad
Think pink, red, hearts, and all things sweet! This year, I found myself obsessed with watching Addie Clark’s candy salad tutorials on TikTok. She spends her day hunting for the perfect holiday candies to add to her themed salads. Candy salad is probably one of the easiest and most personable gifts to hand out this year. It’s so simple- all you have to do is pick out a jar, grab your bestie’s favorite treats and mix them all up! Some of my favorite Valentine’s candies I’ve fallen upon this year have to be Sour Patch gummy hearts, Nerds pink & red rope bites, and Lifesavers X’s and O’s gummies (is it obvious I’m a sour candy lover?).
Paper Flower Bouquet
This one is for my crafty girls who love a good DIY project. Although this is a more time-consuming gift option, it doubles as art therapy! The nice thing about flower bouquets is they don’t die after a week like real flowers do. I did this for my mom last Mother’s Day and she still has it as a centerpiece in our dining room. There are hundreds of paper flower tutorials on Pinterest and TikTok that you can follow, each with a unique spin. Find a tutorial that allows you to customize this gift by making your bestie their favorite flowers or incorporating their favorite colors.
Pink Heart Jellycat Plushie
This gift idea is one of my absolute favorites. My pink heart Jellycat sits on my bed every day – it’s seriously the cutest thing in my room. Not only is it something they’ll see all the time and get tons of compliments on, but it will remind them of you every time they pass by it or make their bed. If you’re struggling with where to find a gift in time, Bird in Hand, an adorable knick knack store in Downtown Chico, sells Jellycats year round. If a pink heart isn’t really your bestie’s style, they have alternative plushies such as the red heart, the love locks, and the red heart bunny. All are adorable options that anyone would be thrilled to receive.
A Plant + A Personalized Pot
Last but not least, plants are always a special way to show your bestie how much you care. Buy them a plant that best represents their personality, and personalize the pot with red and pink paint and ribbon. Add their name and a few hearts and you have the perfect Galentine’s gift.
P.S. If you know they’re busy and don’t have the time or schedule to look after a plant, a succulent is a great alternative. Either way, a potted plant is a great way to brighten up your bestie’s room and remind them that you’re thinking of them!
