Garth Brooks adds third Croke Park show
Garth Brooks has added a third date for his upcoming run at Croke Park due to phenomenal demand.
Tickets went on sale for his two planned concerts at the Dublin venue next September at 8am on Thursday and before they had even been on sale for an hour, an extra date was added to take place on Sunday, 11 September 2022 with tickets on sale immediately.
Croke Park has been given permission by Dublin City Council to allow up to five shows in 2022, two more than the three per year that the stadium does not need to seek planning for.
Brooks was famously denied licenses to play five shows in the venue back in 2014. Ed Sheeran is playing one concert there next year, which would in theory allow up to four for the country music star this time around.
Speaking in Dublin ahead of the tickets going on sale he he said he would love it to play the five but that what happened in 2014 - selling 400,000 tickets in one city - was a "miracle", and it would be impossible to do that again.
