Hasbro's The Real Ghostbusters Fright Features are no longer ...
Earlier this year, Hasbro continued their Kenner Classics line with the release of The Real Ghostbusters fan-favorite toy series, Fright Features!
As part of that initial reveal, Hasbro Global Brand Marketing Manager Emily Bader would confirm that the throwback assortment would initially serve as Target exclusives within the United States and would be tied to the retail chain until early April. In today’s update, Hasbro has announced that availability is now wide open, listing all four figures through HasbroPulse.com.
Inspired by the 1980s The Real Ghostbusters animated series, Ghostbusters Kenner Classics figures replicate the original 1980s Ghostbusters action figures with ghost toy accessory and designed with Fright Features action, plus packaging with classic Kenner branding. For a closer look at the nostalgia-fueled assortment, we had the chance to unbox the highly animated foursome over on the Ghostbusters News YouTube channel, with that video queued up below.
Unfortunately, for those hoping to grab these figures from Hasbro Pulse, at the time of this report, both Egon and Peter have sold out; however, Ray and Winston are still in stock. We expect additional yet limited availability of the Fright Features through select fan retailers, so stay tuned for further updates. These listings come following yesterday’s announcement of a reissue of the Transformers x Ghostbusters mashup figure Ectotron, which also promptly sold out.
Rounding out today’s toy news, this wekened, as part of Hasbro’s presentation at WonderCon, the toy giant has stated that it will provide fans with “a first look across its iconic action brands,” promising “select product reveals,” with Ghostbusters being listed among other popular licenses. Taking place this Saturday, be sure to check back to Ghostbusters News and subscribe to our YouTube channel for full coverage of all the reveals.
