Loch Ness monster fans Xrated surprise when searching for Scots beauty spot on Google Maps
People across the internet have been pranking their pals by urging them to search for Loch Ness on Google Maps.

Scots trying to find the Loch Ness monster on Google Maps have been hit with an X-rated surprise in recent days.

A search for Loch Ness on the smartphone app usually provides users with a 360 degree view of the breathtaking loch.

But the picture has been hijacked by trolls, with an image of a naked man posing with it all hanging out in an American-style villa replacing the Loch Ness we know and love.

The image, which was posted by a user by the name of ‘Flashing You’, appeared online two days ago and has since been viewed more than 643,000 times.

People across Scotland and elsewhere have been pranking their pals since then by urging them to search for the rude image.

One person wrote on social media : “Type in Loch Ness in Google Maps and take a look at 360 tour of the hotel in the bottom left hand corner.

"It certainly wasn’t what I saw when I was in Scotland the past week.”

Another said: “I don’t think the residents of #LochNess will be too pleased with the 360 image that comes up on Google Maps. Someone is making a laughing stock of Maps and Loch Ness.”

The image appeared harmless at first

“Hey @Googlemaps, I think you need to address this 360 degree image. My aunt nearly had a heart attack whilst looking for somewhere to stay at Loch Ness”, one other said.

As of 9pm on Sunday night, the image remains on the Google listing for Loch Ness.
