Gino D'Acampo and Fred Sirieix fans say new show missing one thing
What did you miss?
Fred Sirieix and Gino D’Acampo have hit the road for another adventure but fans are missing their usual co-star Gordon Ramsay.
The trio have been on several adventures together in their Gordon, Gino And Fred Road Trip series, which has seen them travel to places such as Morocco and the US. But celebrity chef Ramsay is missing from Emission Impossible.
Viewers started posting messages on social media minutes after it started on ITV on Monday, 16 December, saying it felt "flat" and that it was just "not the same" without Ramsay.
What, how and why?
The series sees the pair on a culinary, cultural, and eco-friendly tour of Austria and Croatia, as they explore sustainability. The first instalment saw them travel to Austria where they looked at its eco credentials while also sampling the local cuisine, visiting a tattoo parlour and riding in a cable car.
However, many viewers said they wished Ramsay was along for the ride. "Gino & Fred without Gordon is like chips with salt but no vinegar or something," one remarked on X.
Another wrote: "Oh. I miss Gordon... my attention span is going really… usually I love these guys... laughing and mischief but still learn things... this feels... flat... sorry."
"Yeah this hasn’t got the same vibe as previous trips with Gordon," said another. "Time to sack it off lads."
Someone else said it was a "shame Gordon isn’t in it" and another commented: "Watching #ginoandfred enjoying this but not the same without #GordonRamsay to keep the boys out of mischief."
"Good 1st episode but we all know that it would've been much better & funnier w Gordon," agreed another.

However, other viewers felt it worked without the star, with one calling Sirieix and D’Acampo "TV gold". "Thought I’d miss Gordon but have chuckled away at Gino and Fred," somebody else said.
Why isn't Gordon Ramsay in Emission Impossible?
The Road Trip series was very popular but in 2023, D’Acampo announced that he was stepping back, saying on social media: “The reason is simple – nothing to do with Gordon and Fred, the friendship is very strong, we’ve known each other for many, many years – it’s just because we can’t get the dates together. And when we do get the dates together, sometimes they get changed, and it causes a lot of problems for me, because I’ve got other stuff that I have to do.”
He and Sirieix then signed up for Emission Impossible, without Ramsay. However, in October, First Dates star Sirieix told The Sun there was no bad blood and cited the fact that Ramsay was “extremely busy” with his restaurant career.
“He also has two very young children,” he said. “There’s Oscar who is five-years-old, and Jesse who is 10 months. So he really has his hands full, you know?”
“In terms of travelling, he's already got so many shows in America,” he went on. “He just couldn't make the time. And we love travelling and we said to him ‘Well, look, we're going and when you want to join us, join us, and we'll go around and we'll have some fun’.”
Gino & Fred: Emission Impossible continues on ITV at 9pm on Tuesday, 17 December.
