The Norwegian striker is again the league’s leading marksman, with his haul of 27 goals beating runner up Cole Palmer of Chelsea, who scored 22 times.

It follows a record breaking 36 goals in his debut campaign, with the 23-year-old now just the fifth man to claim the award outright in consecutive seasons.

“To win the Golden Boot again is very special for me,” he said.

“I’m so proud to make my contribution to help this incredible team and my amazing team-mates.

“I have to thank all my team-mates for helping me to this award and the coaches and staff that work so hard.

“And a thank you to the fans who give me so much support and I always enjoy celebrating goals with you!”

Haaland is also the first City player to win the gong more than once, with Carlos Tevez sharing the prize with Dimitar Berbatov in 2010/11 and Sergio Aguero hitting 26 in 2014/15.

Walker: It’s one of the proudest moments of my City career

He has enjoyed an unbelievable first two seasons at City, claiming six major honours including back-to-back Premier League titles as part of our record-breaking run of four in a row.

This term saw him score hat-tricks against Fulham and Wolves as well as vital goals against the likes of Liverpool, Spurs, Manchester United and Chelsea on our road to a record fourth straight Premier League title.

His latest individual award comes after he was nominated for the Premier League Player and Young Player of the Season awards, following on from winning both in 2022/23.

During the season, Haaland claimed first prize in the Best Men’s Player category at the Dubai Globe Soccer Awards and finished second in the Ballon d’Or voting.

Overall, he now has 90 goals in 96 games in all competitions for Pep Guardiola’s all-conquering side, with 38 coming so far this season.

He now has the chance to add to that tally in next Saturday’s FA Cup final with Manchester United at Wembley, when City will be aiming to be the first Club ever to win successive Premier League and FA Cup Doubles.

Our No.9 has amassed an outstanding number of personal records and honours at City.

He is the quickest player to 60 Premier League goals, requiring just 63 games to hit the figure.

He has scored six hat-tricks in the Premier League already, with only seven players in the division’s history achieving more.

In his first season, Haaland’s haul of 36 set the record for the most ever scored in a single season and he was also the English club record holder for most goals in all competitions with 52.

Congratulations to Erling on another incredible achievement and an exceptional first two seasons in the Premier League.
