Keane laid into Maguire once again on Saturday, after the current Man United skipper pointed to his ears as he celebrated scoring the opening goal in England's 5-0 World Cup qualifying victory over Albania.

He told ITV: "That's embarrassing, he's been a disgrace the last few months for Man Utd."

Maguire was perceived to be answering back to his critics with this celebration, although this was something he later denied.

It is unclear as to how the criticism has affected Maguire, but it has become obvious to see what his sister Daisy thinks about the Irishman's opinions.

She 'liked' a tweet posted by @UtdSamm, whose profile picture is of Maguire's celebration against Albania and includes the caption: "Roy Keane for his country vs Harry Maguire for his country."

There is a picture of the Red Devils' skipper receiving a man-of-the-match award at this year's European Championships, alongside an image of Keane walking his dog after being sent home from the 2002 World Cup following a well-publicised spat with then-Republic of Ireland manager, Mick McCarthy.

Keane has been accused of bullying Maguire by former Aston Villa striker Gabby Agbonlahor, who told talkSPORT: "If I was going for a run of bad form when I scored the goal, I'd want to do the exact same celebration - hands on your ears to the critics to say, 'I'm going to try and put in a good performance', and he did that.

"I thought his defending was very good and he scored a goal. Every time he does something now it feels like everyone is against him.

"He's English, he's the captain of Manchester United. Yes, there's pressure with that, but he's probably our best centre-half.

"Let's get behind him and not always trying to criticise him.

"For me, it's bullying from Roy Keane. Everyone sort of jumps on the bandwagon whenever Roy Keane says something."

But there is no doubt that the 28-year-old has come under increasing pressure with a series of underwhelming displays, in what has been a torrid start to the season for Manchester United.

Maguire has been an almost ever-present figure in a United defence that shipped 17 goals in 11 Premier League games. The only game the former Leicester City man missed was the 1-1 draw with Everton on 2nd October.

United return to action on Saturday with a trip to Vicarage Road to face Watford.
