Hollyoaks' Hannah Ashworth attacked as major return storyline confirmed
Hannah Ashworth (Emma Rigby) stages her long awaited return to Hollyoaks in upcoming scenes, stunning Darren Osborne (Ashley Taylor Dawson) to silence with the father of all revelations.
The much-loved character, who was last seen in the Channel 4 soap over a decade ago, informs Darren that the two teens he’s talking to, Jack Jnr (Ryan Mulvey) and Frankie (Isabelle Smith), are actually his estranged children.
Darren, as viewers will recall famously had an affair with Hannah’s mum Suzanne (Suzanne Hall) while married to Hannah, with Suzanne subsequently giving birth to the twins.
With this revelation knocking Darren for six, he allows ex-wife Hannah, who is quick to remind him of his fatherly duties, to move into the Osborne household. Jack (Jimmy McKenna), meanwhile, tries to talk sense into Darren, urging him to make an effort with his children.
Darren struggles to do so at first but, after an eye-opening chat with Theresa McQueen (Jorgie Porter) he sets out to try and make amends with Jack Jnr and Frankie.
It soon becomes clear, however, that it’s going to be a bumpy ride.

Hannah, meanwhile, wastes little time in getting caught up in other people’s drama as she walks in on John Paul McQueen (James Sutton) kissing Carter Shepherd (David Ames).
Carter is left horrified, fearing she will reveal what she saw but this proves to be the least of Hannah’s worries as she receives a troubling call, which makes it quite clear that she’s in peril.

The outcome of this particular story strand remains shrouded in mystery but Hannah’s attention is soon elsewhere when Suzanne stages her long-awaited comeback, bursting through the door to ask where the twins are.
Hannah begs her mum to let Jack Jnr and Frankie stay with Darren but Suzanne proceeds to pack up the twins’ belongings.
Jack Jnr, meanwhile, admits to Nancy (Jessica Fox) that the family don’t actually have a home to go back to, which leads Nancy to suggest that the clan stay put until they find their feet again.
But will they take Nancy up on her offer?
Emma Rigby’s return as Hannah was initially intended to be a short stint for the character but a further update confirmed that she’s actually planning on sticking around for longer, which will no doubt come as a huge delight to fans.
