Jack Grealish has been told to consider a shock exit from Man City this summer.

Grealish has found playing time limited this season under Pep Guardiola, having been an integral starter in their treble winning campaign last year.

Injuries have seriously affected his season, including another recurrence of his groin problem on Tuesday night, but Grealish has also struggled for minutes when fit.

The 28-year-old has made just seven Premier League starts, and has just three goals and two assists in all competitions.

He scored five times last season, but his 11 assists were vital.

After a difficult first season at City after his £100million move from Aston Villa, he looked to have finally found his feet.

He said: “That is strong from Pep Guardiola, I didn’t expect him to be that strong. That is saying there’s an issue behind the scenes there with Jack Grealish.

“I’ve spoken about this before and I’ve floated the idea of Jack Grealish leaving City in the summer, because it seems to not work.

“[Jeremy] Doku seems to be in front of him and even when Doku is on the bench, you’d expect Jack to start and that’s not happening.

“You can hear from Guardiola there, it’s almost like he’s saying ‘I need to see something, I need to see a bit more. I’m not going to give you three or four games to get your rhythm, you get 20 minutes’.

“This is the Man City way, you get 20 minutes and if he doesn’t see it then good luck.”

He continued: “I wasn’t one of those who pointed at the end of the season and said all this drinking and all this partying will cause you trouble. Do what you want! You are a superhero for doing that.

“I was looking at him thinking ‘you do realise Pep is expecting you to go again next season’. It’s not one and done, it’s more and more and more.

“I just wonder if Jack hit that height winning the treble, and not just that but being a focal point. Him and Haaland that link-up was fantastic.

“This City team go again, and again and again. This isn’t like any other team you are used to. They expect another treble and another 20 goal and assist contribution.

“I do wonder if Jack hasn’t realised that.”

Niggling injuries continue to be a problem for Grealish and he had to be replaced after just 38 minutes of their FA Cup victory over Luton due to a recurrence of a groin problem.

Oladipo continued: “Should he be worried about his future at the club? Let’s not forget, he was bought for £100million. He’s one of the most expensive footballers of all time.

“We’ve seen how quickly Guardiola ships out class players, Cancelo was a fantastic player… bye. Leroy Sane was outstanding… goodbye. Raheem Sterling scored 20 goals four or five seasons in a row, but when Jack came in he was gone. Mahrez too.

“He doesn’t seem to put his arm around a player and say ‘it’s going to be okay’.”

If he were to become available in the summer, then there would sure to be plenty of suitors for the England star.
