James Charles leaves Australian fans waiting for two hours at meet and greet

James Charles left a number of Australian fans and their parents livid after turning up to a meet and greet nearly two hours late.

The controversial YouTuber, who has lost nearly a million subscribers within the space of 48 hours, was meant to arrive at Pacific Fair in Australia to meet fans and celebrate his pop-up store for brand, Sisters.
However, after failing to turn up at 10am as planned, his social media loving fanbase started documenting their wait, with the heat becoming too much for some fans who decided to leave.
‘Ok so @jamescharles is nearly 2hrs late to his q+a at pac fair? Wow, love that for us all…. I wish people were telling us when he was getting here,’ one wrote online.
‘@jamescharles good job making kids wait for you because you can’t be on time for your meet and greet,’ said another.
While an irate mum added: ‘Where the hell is he, my daughters been there for ages.’
‘James Charles, you have kids standing out here in the sun. Not enough shade, and the people handing out water have forgotten about everyone in line for the meet and greet. Hopefully no one passes out!,’ another concerned parent added.
Travel vloggers Exploration Date headed down to the event to see what was going on themselves, and documented the near two-hour wait fans endured before he finally showed on Instagram Stories.
When he finally arrived, they wrote: ‘He is NOT himself. This is cringe,’ before less than 10 minutes later adding: ‘And that was that. These poor people. He spoke for about 7 minutes, doing a Q+A.’
Apparently James said that he had ‘some personal things to sort out that morning’ as he thanked fans for waiting.
While the fans waited, James made an posted an apology video to beauty guru Tati Westbrook in response to her making a number of allegations against him.
In the video, which in itself was a response to claims that James had been ‘going after straight boys’, Tati cut all ties from her former friend and spoke out about her own experiences with him as his mentor.
This is the latest in a growing number of behaviours by James being called out online, with his Sisters world tour tickets, plus meet and greet, clocking in at up to $500 a ticket.
