Juventus vs Napoli result: Live reaction and updates as Federico Chiesa scores equaliser

Juventus and Napoli share a point at the Allianz Stadium after a bustling 1-1 draw.

The hosts started the game on top but it was Napoli who took the lead in the 23rd minute through a well-taken Dries Mertens goal.

Juventus struggled for superiority soon after and were left exposed to Napoli's counter-attacks but held on until the break.

Federico Chiesa's deflected strike in the 54th minute was enough to equalise and allow Massimiliano Allegri's side back into the game but they were reliant on Chiesa for more magic which never came.

The match ended controversially after the referee blew the whistle for full-time when Paulo Dybala's free-kick was deflected behind for a corner. The Argentine forward was booked for his protests.

That result means Juventus are three points off the top four while Napoli remain in third just six points off leaders Inter.
