Kid Cudi and Kanye West beef explained...

AMERICAN rapper Kanye West has been engaged in a public feud with Kid Cudi for months.

In February 2022, the feud intensified when the Golddigger hitmaker doubled down on his decision to cut Cudi from his new album Dona 2 amid accusations of betrayal.

The pair of rappers publicly fell out over Cudi's continued friendship with comedian Pete Davison.

The Suicide Squad actor began dating Kim Kardashian in November 2021  - just nine months after the reality star had filed for devoiced from Kayne.

When their relationship was revealed, West's opinion of Davison or any of his associates quickly began to sour as he launched a tirade of targeted social media posts.

It also included references in the lyrics of Alicia Keys' song, City of Gods.

But before long, Cudi became caught in the crossfire as Kanye hastily revealed that “Cudi will not be on Donda."

Posting online he mentioned Cudi was "friends with you know who."

He concluded: "We all speak in Billie language now."

In a follow up message, in February 2022, Kanye then accused Cudi of betrayal as he opened up about the split in an Instagram post.

Kanye first shared a black and white snapshot with his former Welcome to Heartbreak collaborator as two music artists appeared to be sharing a meal with other individuals in a throwback pic from 2019.

Kanye was standing up and had his hands on the table in the snap.

Meanwhile, Cudi smiled as he sat next to the Saturday Night Live comic Pete, 28. 

However, Pete's face was marked off with a large red X.

Kanye captioned the post: "Just wanted my friend to have my back.

"The knife just goes in deeper."

Hours later, Cudi then appeared as part of another scathing Instagram post as Kanye declared himself in a Civil war with ex Kim Kardashian and boyfriend Pete Davidson.

Superimposing faces onto a Marvel’s Civil War movie poster – Cudi was included on the 'enemy side' alongside Kim and Pete as well as Billie Eilish and Taylor Swift.

Following Kanye’s initial announcement over his involvement in Donda 2, Cudi cut an unimpressed figure as he took to the comments section.

He claimed that he did not want to "be on your album, you f****g dinosaur."

Cudi added: "Everyone knows I've been the best thing about your albums since I met you."

He concluded: "I'm a pray for you brother," with a peace sign emoji.
