United States Devastated' Kieran Hayler claims underage sex assault claims are 'act of revenge' - Mirror Online
Katie Price’s ex-husband Kieran Hayler believes the allegations he sexually assaulted a minor have been “fabricated by a third party in an act of revenge”.
The 43-year-old is said to be “absolutely devastated” by the historic allegations which he denies.
It comes as Sussex Police have asked him to voluntarily attend a police station next week for an interview.
But a spokesman for Kieran said that he was “certain that these allegations are false and have been fabricated by a third party in an act of revenge.”
He added that Kieran will “fight to clear his name and moreover for those responsible to be brought to justice.”
A spokesperson for Kieran also said: “Kieran is absolutely devastated by these untrue allegations and has requested to meet the investigating officer as soon as possible to clear his name."
The alleged assault occurred several years ago, when the girl was allegedly underage.
Katie wed Kieran in 2013 after a whirlwind romance. Kieran proposed on Christmas Day 2012, and just three weeks later, they tied the knot in the Bahamas.
But that same year, she discovered that Kieran had cheated on her with her close friend of 20 years, Jane Pountney, and was enjoying a fling with another of her pals.
They patched things up and she renewed her vows with Kieran in 2015.
But the pair split in 2018 amid even more cheating allegations. Their divorce was finalised in early 2021.
Kieran said at the time: “We did it really amicably, it was all done behind the scenes and neither of us had to go to court.
“I never wanted any money from her or anything like that, I made a conscious decision in my head that it was a clean break and the chance to start my life over again. So, for me it was very easy.”
He is now engaged to be married.
