Lee Anderson has issued a hilarious seven-word slapdown reply after an ex-BBC presenter mocked Reform UK

A Reform MP has issued a hilarious seven-word slapdown reply after a ex-BBC presenter mocked the party.

Lee Anderson initially posted on X (formerly Twitter) that Keir Starmer "was not reading the room" after the Prime Minister announced that a police unit will be created to tackle violent disorder across the UK which has broken out after far-right groups took to the streets.

This comes as the nation continues to be rocked following the tragic Southport stabbings which claimed the lives of three young children.

Far-right activists are planning to hold weekend rallies in at least eight towns and cities across the UK after Lord Hanson admitted there is potential for more violence in the wake of the Southport stabbings.

In response to Mr Anderson’s tweet ex-BBC TV and radio presenter Matthew Stadlen ridiculed Reform UK saying: "Your room consists of five MP’s Lee."

However, Mr Anderson was having none of this and hilariously hit back tweeting that this is "four more friends than you have".

Calling the journalist "a bore", the Reform MP added that he would buy him "a personality".

Mr Anderson’s full tweet read: "That's 4 more friends than you have.

"Such a bore. I'm nipping in Asda later, I'll see if I can buy you a personality. On me."

Fellow X users rushed to defend the Reform MP by reminding the ex- BBC presenter of the amount of voters the party has.

User @Perky_43 said: ".... and four million UK voters."

@GarethBHughes added: "Yes, and a little matter of the highest number of votes cost for any party and indeed 1 million more than a LibDems."

While @AllLew74 accused Mr Stadlen of being "more angry with Reform UK than the murdering of children".

Earlier this week, Mr Anderson ripped the energy secretary, Ed Miliband, to shreds over a brazen £11.6bn spend in overseas aid.

The Reform MP questioned the "nerve" of the party in spending millions of taxpayers' money as concerns grow over people’s taxes rising as a result.
