ITV Love Island All Stars viewers baffled by major and sudden show
Fans tuning in to ITV2's Love Island: All Stars live final were confused by the sudden appearance of a huge live studio audience in the villa garden behind show host Maya Jama

Love Island All Stars fans were left confused by the sudden appearance of a live studio audience in the villa.

The first season of the Love Island spin-off concluded on Monday night - with finalist couples Anton Danyluk and Georgia Harrison, Callum Jones and Jess Gale, Josh Ritchie and Sophie Piper, Toby Aromolaran and Georgia Steel and Tom Clare and Molly Smith battling to win the £50,000 prize. The spin-off show was airing live from the villa in South Africa where the show has been filming for the past five weeks.

The show airs in the UK on ITV2 - and viewers tuning in on Monday night were confused about a live studio audience cheering and clapping as host Maya Jama oversaw the final drama and highlights from the show. Many fans were unsure where the audience would have come from as Love Island: All Stars does not air in South Africa.

And it would be unlikely that ITV would jet a host of TV fans from the UK to the filming locating on the other side of the world. Many took to social media to share their confusion over the scenes.

One fan wrote on X: "Who do the show get as audience for a final like this to fill seats? Just locals? Always baffles me #LoveIsland #LoveIslandAllStars." Another agreed, writing: "I wondered this on prerecorded love island Australia - the audience had some grey haired locals looking confused." A show source told the Mirror, however, that the audience were made up of a local studio audience, saying: "the public can apply for tickets to attend."

While other viewers hoped the sudden inclusion of the audience would provoke some last minute drama. Many viewers begged the audience to share the news the public are rooting for Callum and Molly to get back together. One fan wrote on X: "I need the audience to start chanting Molly and Callum."

Callum and Molly had first started dating after meeting on Love Island back in 2020 during season six of the show. They went on to date for three and a half years before splitting - leaving fans devastated.

Both signed up for the All Stars spin-off of the show - oblivious to the fact the other would be in the villa. Callum arrived as a bombshell and was gobsmacked to see Molly there. He opted to couple up with her - and they tried to rebuild their relationship.

However, they broke up in the villa and coupled up with others - with Callum ending up in the final with Jess and Molly in the final with Tom. Viewers at home, however, have been secretly wishing that Callum and Molly would still reignite their relationship though. Many had noticed that the pair shared glances with each other and sexual tension was still palpable - and their emotions for each other ran high.

The pair even set each others' pulses racing the highest during the infamous 'heart rate challenge' in the villa. Celeb fans including Olivia Attwood and Dani Dyer even told the house they hoped the pair would reunite - causing awkward conversations for Molly and Tom.
