Man United travel to Kenilworth Road to face Luton Town in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

Manchester United will be targeting a fifth successive win in all competitions when they face Luton Town at Kenilworth Road on Sunday afternoon.

United, who edged past the Hatters at Old Trafford back in November, winning 1-0, maintained their impressive run of form with a vitally important 2-1 win over Aston Villa last time out. Scott McTominay stepped off the bench to head home a dramatic winner and seal a third successive league win.

McTominay's late heroics in the Midlands moved United to within five points of their opponents and six behind fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur. United will be the last of those three teams to play this weekend, with both Villa and Spurs in action on Saturday afternoon.

Manager Erik ten Hag made one change to the starting line-up for the clash with Villa following the win over West Ham United seven days earlier, with Raphael Varane replacing the injured Lisandro Martinez. It is possible he could be forced into another defensive change this weekend.

Andre Onana is expected to start between the posts and maintain his record of starting every Premier League game this season. He will be hoping to register his first clean sheet away from home in the league since the goalless draw with Liverpool in December.

As for the back four, Diogo Dalot is expected to start at right-back, with Harry Maguire and Varane occupying the two centre-back berths to his left. Maguire and Varane both played key roles in last weekend's win at Villa and are likely to start alongside each other once again.

It is at left-back where Ten Hag faces a sense of uncertainty. Luke Shaw was forced off at half-time against Villa as a precaution and is a doubt for the clash with Rob Edwards' team, though Ten Hag, speaking at Thursday's press conference, confirmed he was still in with a chance of featuring.

He said: "Luke is doubtful for the weekend but we are positive he can make it. He came out as a precaution, it was the right direction. We work until Sunday."

If he wins his fitness battle, he should start at left-back. If he is deemed unfit, Victor Lindelof is a viable candidate to replace him, just as he did in the second half at Villa, while Sofyan Amrabat has proven he can also deputise in an emergency.

Ten Hag shouldn't face any hesitation or late calls when settling on his midfield three. Bruno Fernandes, Kobbie Mainoo and Casemiro have established themselves as the members of United's strongest midfield in recent weeks and should all start once again.

It is the same story in attack, meaning Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford should once again provide support from the wide areas for the in-form Rasmus Hojlund. The Dane has scored in each of his last five league games and will be determined to maintain his excellent run of form this weekend.

United predicted XI vs Luton Town: Onana; Dalot, Varane, Maguire, Shaw (if fit); Casemiro, Mainoo, Fernandes; Garnacho, Hojlund, Rashford.
