Singer Nick Cave announces death of his son Jethro Lazenby
Jethro Lazenby was jailed for violent assault on his mother last month and was reportedly only released a few days ago.

Singer Nick Cave has said his son Jethro has died - just seven years after his teenage son Arthur was killed after falling off a cliff.

In a statement, he said: "With much sadness, I can confirm that my son, Jethro, has passed away.

"We would be grateful for family privacy at this time."

Jethro was jailed in April for violently assaulting his mother, Beau Lazenby, and was also convicted of attacking a girlfriend in 2018.

His lawyers in the recent case told a Melbourne court he was suffering from schizophrenia that had affected his judgement.

He was reportedly only released from an Australian jail a few days ago.

The 30-year-old had worked as a model and also did some acting.

Cave's 15-year-old son, Arthur, died in 2015 when he fell off a cliff in East Sussex after taking LSD.

The Australian singer, 64, is best known as lead singer of alternative group Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds.

He's also dueted with the likes of Kylie Minogue, Johnny Cash, Debbie Harry and Shane MacGowan.
