Today, 15,849 new cases were reported, which is an increase from yesterdays figure of 9,360. Scotland is currently averaging 9,763 new cases per day, which is an increase from this time last week, when Scotland was averaging 5,724.
The total number of confirmed cases in Scotland is now at 886,065. However, as not everyone who catches the virus is tested for it, this is likely to be a fairly significant undercount.
Today, 65,762 new vaccinations were reported, which is an increase yesterdays figure. This was made up of 1,936 first doses, 3,810 second doses, and 60,016 third doses.
Scotland is currently administering an average of 29,599 new vaccinations per day. This is a decrease from this time last week, when 69,162 were being administered a day.
In total, 80.1 per cent of the entire Scottish population has had their first dose, 73.4 per cent have had both doses, and 53.1 per cent have had a third dose. In the past 7 days, 3.8 per cent of Scotland has received a dose.
