Probably Alan Shearer predicts whether Nottingham Forest will be
relegated this season
We hope he's right...

Alan Shearer has now delivered his verdict on whether or not Nottingham Forest will get relegated this season.

Luton were beaten 2-1 by Wolves yesterday and that leaves Forest outside of the relegation zone.

Forest face Manchester City today and they remain embroiled in relegation trouble as the season draws to a close.

Shearer has now delivered his verdict on whether or not the Reds will get relegated this season – and he seems pretty confident.

Alan Shearer delivers Nottingham Forest relegation verdict

These days, Shearer is the face of Match of the Day and now he’s been discussing whether or not Forest will be relegated.

Forest are still teetering close to the edge and they could do with a couple of wins to secure their Premier League safety this season.

Shearer has now delivered a verdict on whether Forest will be relegated this season or not.

MORE FOREST STORIES

He told Match of the Day: “They have also got Sheffield United away and you said Burnley away last game of the season. I would think Forest, without doubt, are in the driving seat, probably just have enough.”

Forest play the champions-elect today and ultimately it’s going to be a very tough and long afternoon for the Reds.

Hopefully Shearer is proved right

As much as the Premier League has been nothing short of a disaster, Forest don’t really want to leave the division.

The last time Forest were relegated from the top division they had to wait 23 years to get back among the country’s elite.

Now, the Reds have to start picking up points and it’d be amazing if they could get a big three points against Manchester City today.

That does feel unlikely though and Shearer is right to point towards Sheffield United away next weekend.

Hopefully, Forest buck their ideas up and can remain in the Premier League but we think it might be closer than Shearer is making out at the moment.
