Paul Hollywood and new girlfriend's romantic getaway at same resort baker married ex-wife

Paul is on Love Your Weekend with Alan Titchmarsh this morning at 10am on ITV. The programme sees the beloved gardener celebrate all that is great about the British countryside, including arts, manufacturing and produce.  Alan will be joined by the Great British Bake Off judge, and well as his old Ground Force co-host Charlie Dimmock.

The festive themed episode will also feature some boozy Christmas puddings, and a surprise appearance from Rudolph.

Paul and his girlfriend Melissa, who is 18-years his junior, made their public debut as a couple this week for the premiere of The King’s Man. 

The celebrity baker, 55, and Melissa, 37, dazzled on the red carpet of the star studded event at Cineworld Leicester Square on Monday. 

The couple began dating after the Channel 4 star split from his ex-girlfriend Summer Monteys-Fullam in August 2019.

Summer, 24, is 31 years younger than Paul and was in a two-year relationship with him after the breakdown of his marriage.

Just months after their relationship ended, in November 2019, Paul whisked Melissa away to spend a week in an exclusive sea-view suite at the Annabelle in Paphos, Cyprus. 

Paul had worked at the resort in his early career and was head baker there when he met his ex-wife Alexandra in 1996, who was a scuba diving instructor.

The couple married on the island two years later and had a son together, but divorced in 2017.

The source added: “They will be in the honeymoon stage. They certainly don’t seem to have eyes for anyone else.”

Speaking about her and Paul’s bi-annual trips to Cyprus in 2013, Alexandra said: “Life was good for us in Cyprus.

“We lived in a beautiful villa with a pool, and Paul would roar around on his big motorbike.

“I had my moped. We were incredibly happy.”

Paul’s new girlfriend Melissa is the landlady of the Chequers Inn in Smarden, Ashford.

She is thought to have met the TV baker at her pub, where he is a regular as it is near his Grade II-listed home.

Melissa reportedly moved into Paul’s four-bedroom farmhouse in April last year and the couple spent lockdown together.

A friend told the Mail on Sunday: “Paul and Melissa spent a lot of time together in lockdown. 

“They bubbled up together and stayed at his house. Now she is there for good.

“They are delightfully happy.”
